西陣織の帯に使われる金色の絹糸を仕入れました。
おしとやかな艶と奇麗に波打つ張りがとても美しいです。

Today we got new “fragments”, which are gorgeous vintage silken threads made for Nishijin-ori in Japan. We're excited to experiment something new with this beautiful silky luster – will update when these threads turn into some little jewellery :)
*Nishijin-ori is the name of the 500-year-old craft of silk weaving that was centered primarily in Kyoto. There are several hundred classifications of Nishjin-ori weaves and patterns, which are used for obi (a wide sash tied over a kimono), costumes for traditional plays, doll clothing, and so on.
